Article 22: Date of Effect/Term of Agreement

All provisions of the Agreement take effect upon ratification, except for those of

Articles 9, 10, and 11, which take effect on the dates specified therein, or at the

beginning of the Fall 2007 term, whichever is earlier.

This Agreement will terminate August 18, 2009, or following the end of Summer

II session 2009. It may extend beyond August 18, 2009 upon written consent

of the parties. If either party desires to amend or modify this Agreement,

written notice to that effect shall be given to the other party by October 31,

2008. Following such notice, negotiations will begin by November 13, 2008,

unless mutually agreed otherwise, with the intention of reaching a successor

Agreement prior to April 1, 2009.
